This especially smells sweet in Islay whisky.
Of course, it tastes and smells sweeter although there is a peat flavor of Islay whisky. Also, This has a creamy but tangy flavor.
In the finish, it smells smoked wood, seaweed.

Also, There are [Lagavulin 8 year] of anniversary bottle and [Lagavulin 12year] and so.
It may be interesting that you try to drink these whiskies about the flight. 🙂

Personal episode

Speaking of Islay whisky, I only drunk [Laphroaig 10 year] and [Ardbeg 10 year]
I drunk this at a bar when a barman suggested in Kyoto.

If you have drunk this yet, I want you to drink this. The person likes Islay whisky may already drink this. 🙂
Islay whisky is adjective unique taste. I think someone is aware of the sweet and smooth and so was hidden in the back when someone always drunk it. For example, “Huh? I didn’t realise that it was so sweet!!”.
the awareness is interesting too. 🙂

At present, I like this whisky in Islay whisky although I sometimes drink this. 🙂

Over view

This edition No.2 limited to 3,000 bottles released in 2016.
The other edition is No.1 and No.2. I introduce No.1 to you this time.
This whisky ages in Europen oak and American oak sherry barrel.

As of January 2019, due to an increase of a premium price, this whisky is on sale at 40,000 yen.

I suppose this Macallan is more rich than the present [Macallan]

I am surprised It smells very sweet.
The body tastes a bit of peat flavour and strong sherry flavour for a long time.

Then, it tastes very smooth, though the alcohol content is high.

Personal episode

When I went to a bar to Fukuoka in Japan, I found [Macalla Edition No.1].
Though I order it, it was an empty bottle. 🙁

Then, the barman recommended [Macallan Edition No.2] to me.:)
As I only drink Macallan 12year, 18year and ruby, I was surprised to drink it.

I want to drink Macallan old bottle and the other Macallan Edtion series. 🙂
