Overview

This is the whisky is selling about bottlers in 2018. It is made at Tobermory Distillery in Maru Island is in the north of Islay Island. Mainly, the distillery is made two kinds of whiskies, non-peated whisky of [Tobarmory] and peated whisky of [Ledaig]. This is made by Hogsheads barrels.

Also, there is a cat called “Maru” the back of a jacket on the bottle. it’s very cute. 🙂 The cat is kept by a barman in Kyoto.

Printed a cat is very cute. So, you may think of the smooth taste. But that is just a little wrong.
There is sweetness like a bit of fruit but more barrel flavor and sweetness like vanilla than it.
Addition to, there is strong peated flavor and strong peated flavor. the flavor isn’t Islay whisky [Laphroaig] and [Ardbeg] but peated flavor like dried wheat.

Also, finish isn’t very rich but a bit of clean taste.
It tastes very smooth when we add to water. So, it isn’t diluted taste and smell spreads. I think you drink with twice-up. 🙂

Personal episode

I don’t always drink bottlers whisky. I happened to find a bar when I went cycling. Then, I went to the bar the next day. So, there are various types of bottlers whisky in the bar. As I see back-bar, I found the whisky printed a cute cat on the bottle. I drink it in spite of myself.

I think I want to drink official [Ledaig] again because I rarely drink it.

You may try to drink it if you like a cat. So, you will be surprised by the taste. 🙂
